2010 Pitching Rules Baseball & Softball

Coaches, to help clear up some misconceptions from our coaches meeting, The following should clear up questions:

SOFTBALL & BASEBALL: There are limits to the number of innings per game that a player can pitch, please refer to your rulebook for specfics.

SOFTBALL: A pitcher (once removed) may re-enter the game as a pitcher in the same game, until the max number of innings per game are reached. 1 pitch does constitute a "Inning" pitched.

BASEBALL: A pitcher, once removed from the game as a pitcher, may not re-enter the same game as a "Pitcher". They may re-enter the game at any other position other than pitcher. 1 pitch counts as a "inning" pitched toward their maximum number of innings pitched as per the LJAL Rulebook.
