FRANKLIN HIGH SCHOOL - “6th ANNUAL FUTURE STARS” SPRING BASEBALL CAMP

Franklin Head Coach Matt Fournier and the Livonia Franklin Baseball Coaching Staff will be holding a spring baseball camp for baseball players (boys or girls), grades 2-6 on Saturday, February 11th, 2012. The camp will consist of two sessions focusing on sport specific skills. The Franklin staff has extensive experience at the high school and college levels. The camp will be held inside the Franklin field house using the same facilities the high school teams use. Each camper will be assigned to groups according to age and ability and instructed on a wide variety of skills.
Session 1: 9:00 am to 11:30 am
The morning session will consist of hitting, base running skills, and infield work. Taking the extra base, hitting for average, and proper infield approach are just a few of the skills the campers will come away with.
Lunch 11:30 am to 12:15 pm
Each camper will bring his/her own sack lunch. The campers and instructors will eat a supervised lunch together in the bleachers of the field house. Please pack a lunch that will not have to be refrigerated and clearly marked with a name.
Session 2: 12:15 pm to 2:45 pm
The afternoon session will consist of pitching and defense. pitch location, catching drills, and outfield approach are some of the key points focused on in session two.
